Tea Advent Calender DIY

Who decided that advent calenders should be chocolate filled? Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE chocolate, but we love tea MORE!

The inspiration for this DIY came after seeing it on pinterest and various other places. We have so many different loose leaf teas between us, this is the perfect way for us to sample teas we might never normally try, a tea club perhaps!

All you need for this simple DIY are some small envelopes, some mini-pegs or washi tape and some string.

Oh yes and tea, you will need lots of tea!

Bugs adorned her envelopes with brush lettering and cute illustrations whilst Birds got inspiration from a free advent calendar tag printable on the Simple As That Blog.

After decorating the envelopes it was time for the fun part – deciding on what tea to use!

We made a note on the back of each packet what tea was inside, this way we will be able to keep track of what ones we like or don’t like throughout the month.

Day 23 is super pretty…

Once each of the envelopes were filled with tea we attached them to some wool/twine….

Due to a shortage of space Birds attached her envelopes along two lengths of string.

Teas included were from Yum Chaa, Bluebird Tea Company, The Tea People, Tesco Finest, Steenbergs, The Tea House, Bunting Tee, Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Co,Palais Des Thes. We won’t tell you just yet what each of the teas are instead we are running a tea advent! Check out our Instagram as each day we will post our advent tea and let you know what we think of it!

We are also running a competition for you to win a bag of our favourite tea! Post a picture of your favourite cuppa and tag us and #25daysoftea and follow us to be in with a chance of winning! [COMPETITION CLOSED]

In case you hadn’t already noticed we are tea fanatics, we would love to know what your favourite teas are!

    Hi Lovelys 🙂

This is such an amazing idea!!!! I am slowly converting my family to be fellow tea lovers, and now I’m inspired to do a “Happy Christmas” banner vs advent w/ all teas inside 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!

    Keep up the blogging!
